DANIEL E. ROUSSO, M.D. F.A.C.S
New York, NY – Dr. Daniel E. Rousso specializes in Facial Plastic Surgery and has been in practice for over twenty years. A prominent and skilled surgeon with an office in Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Rousso is internationally renowned for his contributions to the field of facial plastic surgery, which has lead him to currently serve as the new President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). His past experience with AAFPRS includes being a Director of a Fellowship Program, which trains young physicians under the support of AAFPRS, while also serving on the Board of Directors for 6 years. As president, he will represent over 2,700 facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons throughout the United States – whose cosmetic reconstructive surgery focuses on the face, head and neck.

As the President, I am most excited to create awareness of emerging technology and trends in facial plastic surgery.”
Dr. Rousso, a recognized leader in the field of aesthetic surgery, is Board Certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. “My goal is to improve people’s lives by aesthetically enhancing their appearance, or correcting facial deformities, thereby improving their quality of life, as well as increasing their confidence and self assurance,” says Dr. Rousso. His practice extends beyond traditional plastic surgery by offering non-surgical treatments and healthy skin care programs at Rousso Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic. With over 23 years of hair restoration experience, Dr. Rousso has served on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and is past president of the International Society of Hair Replacement Surgery.
Dr. Rousso has been acknowledged as a distinguished educator, evidenced by his many national and international professorships and lectureships. His expertise and consultation in the field of facial plastic surgery is sought after by national advisories and health councils, research review committees, universities, and health & science agencies both nationally and internationally. He is the author of several publications on facial plastic surgery and has been the director of multiple courses teaching other physicians the artistry and techniques of these procedures.
Dr. Rousso is an active member of the AAFPRS Face-to-Face Program – an organization that provides complementary care to individuals who suffer facial deformities due to circumstances beyond their control such as deformities at birth, domestic violence, and war.
Dr. Rousso attended Emory University and the Medical College of Georgia, where he earned his medical degree. He completed his residency at Emory University, and his Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship in Birmingham, Alabama.
